This fall is a season of new beginnings for us. The first is Dream Spaces, our new home, renovation and design section. We all realize the importance of our homes, they are our castles, and we are here to help you realize the potential, value and future of your home. We are committed to expanding our coverage of this area—and ensuring that we set a new standard in the local industry photographically and editorially so you can use it as a resource for ideas when you are planning your dream spaces. Check out this new section on page 31 on the flip side of this magazine.

Ah, summer—here it is! What comes to mind for this short season is all in this issue—great drives, barbecues and the lake. Manitobans are famous for our weekend exodus to cottage country, no matter where that may be.

We often hear and read about our tax dollars being used for sport and other public facilities. The current issue at hand is the potential new football stadium that David Asper is proposing for our Blue Bombers. On the sports front, we have only to go back a few years—to the 1999 Pan Am Games, when public funds helped to build Canwest Park and to 2003, when they helped build the MTS Centre.

Well gentlemen, here we are again, nearing the end of another year. If only I had time to reflect.
