The 2011 Winnipeg International Jazz Festival runs from June 16 to 25, 2011, and already has confirmed a few jazz superstars are coming to the ‘Peg. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will perform a special festival preview concert on Tuesday, June 14, while Oregon’s Pink Martini will close out the festival on Saturday, June 25. The entire festival line-up will be announced in April. Tickets are available by calling the Jazz Winnipeg info line at 989-4656, or in person at the Jazz Winnipeg office (007-100 Arthur St.) during office hours.
