Hi, I am Glenn and I have hyperhidrosis (Hello Glenn). For those unfamiliar with the term, it means that I sweat. A lot. It’s an issue that follows me throughout my day as I wonder whether or not it’s safe to lift my arm or remove my jacket. It’s the reason I have extra shirts hung in my office, and have an extraordinary dry cleaning bill. Yes, I have ruined many a shirt, and those of you who tend to sweat a bit more will understand all of the fun things that go along with that. |

We’re into sweating season. Hold up now, that’s not as sexy as it sounds.
Sure, all of those sport drink commercials on TV with the yoked athletes sweating all the colours of the rainbow might make you wish that you too, could sweat primary colours, but the roughly three per cent of the population willing to admit to excessive sweating is here to tell you that you can keep your blue sweat; they’re having enough trouble with the clear kind, thank you very much. |

They say you can learn a lot about a man from his handshake.
Chris Burke-Gaffney’s, for example, conveys a man operating in two worlds, quickly changing from a multi-stage thumb shake/finger-interlock to a more conventional business-like shake. Such a potentially awkward moment is a necessary risk for a guy operating as few others in his business do: as both artist and management. |
