Going Grey
Menswear is in the grey zone this season with shades from charcoal to pewter filling the racks. This neutral shade looks great in a monochromatic mix, pairing tones and textures of grey in pants, shirt and sweater. Bruce Rayburn, manager of Morrison, suggests pairing the shirts with an ultra-trendy cardigan or sweater vest.
Shirts from J. Fedders and The Report Collection, $69-98 each, Morrison, Grant Park Shopping Centre.
Tie One On
While sleek silhouettes in shady tones rule for suits, accessory accent colours, like purples and reds, let you still have fun this season. Don’t be shy—for ties, bold paisleys, florals and checks are hot. Pocket squares have made a comeback, too. Vittorio Rossi of Vittorio Rossi Clothiers says that pocket square selection is really up to you. “Your pocket square should be an accent colour that harmonizes with your tie, shirt and suit. As long as they harmonize you can create as much or as little contrast as you want,” says Rossi.
