New credit card reward points could earn you a posh billiard table or the keys to a very hot car If you like the finer things in life, and tend to use your credit card to get them, then you might just be able to cash in for some high-end rewards from American Express. For Platinum and Centurion cardholders, American Express has introduced the First Collection line, clearly targeted to the high rolling man.
How it works: You spend a dollar on a “#1 Mom” mug (heads up, Mother’s Day is May 13), and you get a Membership Reward point. Rack up between 20,500 and 93,200,000 points and you can start getting free stuff. It might just take you a decade or so to build up your points, but since there’s no expiry date, you still might cash in on a year lease to a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, a custom built Monarch billiard table (seen left) or private jet service. |
