In January, James Richardson and Sons Ltd. announced a $1 million gift to the city’s four largest arts groups: the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Manitoba Opera, Manitoba Theatre Centre and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. The donation is to be directed towards new artistic creations and audience-building initiatives.
