We dare you to head to the custom-made walk-in freezer at Mark’s—formerly known as Mark’s Work Wearhouse—which lets customers test-drive the company’s winter apparel, from jackets to boots to mitts and toques. The chamber can be cranked anyway from a wimpy minus 15 to a downright frigid minus 40. Oh, and don’t think you’re getting away without a wind chill—the machine also comes complete with a fan that mimics the icy air flow Winnipeggers know all too well. Check out the simulator for yourself at the Mark’s Regent Avenue location (1580 Regent Ave. W). www2.marks.com
