Then I was standing in line at Starbucks on Broadway and in front of me were two young guys dressed in great suits. They even had on great shoes (yes guys, you need to look at your shoes—that is the first thing women look at when you enter a room). It was then that I remembered how much I like the way a suit looks. It really does make you look, feel and act more confident in the office, in meetings and in social situations. There are great choices out there for a more business casual look, but putting on a shirt and tie every so often will make heads turns, and your boss take notice.

I bring this up because we are excited to announce a great contest to kick off the fall. We are looking for Winnipeg’s Best Dressed Man and we need your help. If you know a well-dressed man, or if you are one yourself, go to our website for an entry form. If you are one of the three finalists, not only will you be the talk of the office and the envy of your friends, but you will also win great prizes and be featured in our January issue.

For you readers who are really paying attention, you are probably saying ‘since when does Winnipeg Men magazine come out in January?’ We are pleased to announce that the magazine will be distributed bi-monthly in 2008, to help us really keep tabs on what’s going on in the country’s greatest city. Stay tuned.

Welcome back from summer. Hope it was great.
