While Lake of the Woods may be the default place for many, Manitoba has so many excellent cottage areas in the Whiteshell, Clear Lake, Lake Winnipeg and the Interlake. We wanted to explore the different areas of our province through the eyes of those who frequent the summer hotspots and have captured their stories in our Lake District feature.
Our Pursuit driving event was once again a summer highlight. This year almost 500 of our readers entering for a spot on the weekend, making the choice more difficult every year. Once again, we ended up with such a fantastic group of people that it was sad to see the weekend come to an end, proving that Manitoba has the best people! Our test drive weekend may have started out a little wet, but the hot coffee at Mountain Bean Coffee Co helped. Once we got going, we drove out of the rain and straight to what I call Manitoba’s Whistler. It’s as simple as this—book a room at the new Radisson Hecla Oasis Resort and you will want to go back again and again. Stay tuned to Winnipeg Men this fall, as we will be going back ourselves late this summer to do a full report on the golfing, newly opened spa and resort that you won’t want to miss.
We continue to get fantastic feedback about Winnipeg Men magazine (and Winnipeg Women magazine). Please keep it coming—and keep your ideas coming. We are always looking for new stories about men in Manitoba and the great things they are doing.
Stay well and stay fit!
